Moving from Maiden is a book of magic, medicine and memoirs written by Vaila Robertson as an honest initiation into the archetype of The Mother. The book takes the reader on a journey through The Maiden age of freedom, and individuation, to The Mother age of creation, devotion and relation. Weaving together lessons from nature, mythos, and her own messy, lived experience.

It is a story for any woman who feels the call to start living more authentically from their own souls calling, or has a yearning to create something that will outlive themselves.

Vaila (or Unveiler, as she is affectionately referred to in social circles) delights in challenging the fixed perceptions and stories we all carry, to reveal the deeper truth of the human experience. Her lifelong path of understanding has taken her to unusual depths of study into our physical, psychological, and spiritual existence. For her, true alchemy and transformation are achieved when felt, through poetry, animism, and the somatic lived experience.

Vaila is currently on a mission to help others unveil their deepest truths and rewrite their stories, empowering each person to live an existence that is true to their essence.

In Portuguese, vai la means to go there. Vaila helps others through their journeys of revelation by summoning the courage to go there herself. She brings light to the shadows, fears, and uncomfortable places to disarm the traps of false paradigms, helping others recognize and illuminate their truth, and ultimately find their creative expression.

You can journey through the initiation of the Maiden-Mother milestone with her via her book and podcast Moving From Maiden or join her live workshops and retreats throughout Portugal and Scotland. She is also working 1-2-1 with a small number of individual females and cultural leaders as a midwife to their own authentic identity and creative expression.
